Barn Raisin'
A barn raising was known as a community event where a barn of one of the members was collectively built or rebuilt. Today at the Peach Pit, we raised the walls of the pavilion in the same spirit. It took about 7 of us to lift up and attach the walls in place. The walls really put the project in perspective, and the "Fruit Stand" as it is affectionately being called will have a huge presence. Seeing the walls up made us realize that our undertaking of building what was thought to be just a simple stage can live up to higher aspirations.
